New Coach for Bronco Speech & Debate

Jordan Reynolds, a 2018 Blackfoot High School graduate, is now completing his first year at the helm of Blackfoot Speech and Debate. Mr. Reynolds was named Idaho’s New Coach of the Year in 2023, and is successor to Ms. Kelsey Purin-Wright. Mr. Reynolds was fully immersed in the BHS Forensics world. He competed all four years of high school, qualified for national tournaments each year and placed in the top 10 at nationals in Original Oratory and Public Forum his senior year.

Receiving his BA in Communications, with emphasis in Rhetoric, Media and Social Change with minors in Advocacy and Professional Writing, Mr. Reynolds competed for Idaho State University and again was a nationally ranked speaker. During his Senior Year of high school, Jordan received the “Most Likely to be a Debate Coach Award,” and eventually put his aspirations of attending law school on the back burner.

Having grown his squad from 9 varsity students to a crew of 35 competitors, Mr. Reynolds now capably takes the reins in leading Blackfoot’s students to compete in this time honored field.
